Since our last update, we have continued our efforts to reach our partners and orphanages in Haiti to confirm their well-being. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to reach any additional orphanages, but we aren’t giving up hope! We are still in daily contact with the partners and orphanages that we had originally reached. One of those orphanages had explained that their Director, who is also a Doctor, had been missing since the quake. Thankfully they are rejoicing today saying, “There are blessings amid the tragedy… our hospital director, is alive! Praise the Lord! He is injured, though not seriously, and his house is gone, but he is safe.” But amongst the rejoicing they went on to say, “Government officials are now estimating that over 100,000 people will eventually be found to have died in this tragedy. In the Haitian sun, people are wearing masks to try to survive the stench of death.”
t’s hard to imagine and painful to hear, but we all must come together to help those affected by this enormous tragedy. We ask that you please join us in praying for those affected by this earthquake and we declare that more good news is to come. Please consider giving a donation to help the Haitian children and orphanages in our program receive the nutritional support they need. As food is scarce, these children are becoming more vulnerable to malnutrition. Please help ensure that doesn’t happen. Remember, any amount makes a huge difference and 100% of your gift goes directly to providing nutritional support to Haitian children in need!
