Mission Program Details
Types of Mission Trips
Official MannaRelief Mission Trips
An official MannaRelief Mission Trip would be a predetermined trip posted on the website that will be completely administered (includes administration, logistics, and schedules) and led by MannaRelief. A MannaRelief staff member(s) would always accompany/lead the team consisting of a minimum of 12 members including the leader.
Unofficial MannaRelief Mission Trips
This would be a mission trip organized and led by an associate who has a relationship with MannaRelief and with one or more orphanages in the Blessing Program. An unofficial MannaRelief trip could also be when MannaRelief partners with another ministry or church organization. (This would be solely for the couriering of supplements on our behalf) MannaRelief would not administrate an unofficial mission trip with the exception of the following:
- Post trips on MannaRelief website with leader’s contact details
- Accept donations for nutritional supplements that will be taken to orphanages
- Ship nutritional supplements (that have been funded) to the respective members carrying the nutrients with them.
Scope of Mission Trips
MannaRelief teams visit orphanages in the Blessing Program that have been predetermined (based on designated funding) to receive the vital nutritional supplements. When a team visits the orphanages, they will deliver products and educate the directors/caregivers. The team will have the opportunity to play with the children, pass out toys, share Bible stories, and perform skits and puppets shows. Sometimes teams help with certain projects while visiting the orphanages. As each trip is unique, this would be discussed during the regular conference calls that would be held periodically. The team may help paint, do construction work, arts and crafts, or any other practical way they can bless the ministries that they go to serve. Most definitely the team would be giving lots of hugs and smiles.
ELIGIBILITY
Anyone 16 years and older who is medically fit to travel is eligible to join us on a mission trip. Children younger than 16 years of age have joined our teams accompanied by a parent, family member or an appointed guardian.

Planning A Mission Trip
MannaRelief reserves the right to decide on dates, destination, and which orphanages to visit.
WHEN WE GO
Travel dates differ every year depending on circumstances and the need. (Summer trips are usually between May and August.)
WHERE WE GO
Countries to be visited are decided by MannaRelief. Sign up sheets that are made available at events such as MannaFest and MannaQuest help indicate the general interest from the field.
WHO WE VISIT
Various factors (funding, date of last shipment, accessibility, etc) influence decision-making regarding which orphanage will be visited.
Costs and Funding
The costs of trips include air fare from major cities, accommodations, transportations, translators, meals, bottled water, and almost always a one-day excursion to a place of interest. Each individual is responsible to raise their own funding for the trips. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required. Deadlines for paying deposits/air fare and trip fees have to be met by all applicants.
Donations may be made by check, credit card or automatic withdrawal from your checking account. Donations are tax deductible. Financial sponsors can come from friends, family, church, local businesses, charities or fundraising events. All funds should have participant’s name and “missions” on donations to be designated for their trip.
